What can I say? We have all fallen completely in love with a tiny 6-pound bundle of sweetness.

Zoe Mae

Our sweet Zoe was born on Tuesday, May 31 at 6:01 pm. She is 20 inches long and weighs 6 pounds, 3 ounces.

We are all so in love with her! Our biggest problem is that there is not enough Zoe to go around. Between all the kids and Mommy and Daddy, Zoe is going to get lots and lots of snuggling, attention and love.

Here are some pictures from the hospital. I'll try to take some more in the next few days and get them posted, too.

We have some exciting news:


Yes, we are pregnant.


And yes, we know what causes it. (just in case you were concerned about us....hehehe)


No, we have not become Catholic.


Yes, we are very happy to be having another baby.


And yes, we'll have our hands full.


No, we wouldn't have it any other way.


Yes, we've had 2 miscarriages already (before Gabe) and that means 33% of our pregnancies have ended in miscarriage.


No, I'm not worried at all that this pregnancy will end in miscarriage.


Yes, I'm lying about the above statement.


And yes, we know that this child's life is in God's hands and He already knows if this child will live on this earth or go directly to Heaven.


No, that doesn't mean I won't worry about it.


Yes, I know that worry is a sin.


No, we are not planning on finding out the sex of this baby before the birth.


Yes, we will probably change our minds about that by the time of the ultrasound.


And yes, we are hoping for a girl.


And yes, we are hoping for a boy.


Yes, we are hoping for twins.


No, I am not serious about that.


But, yes, the kids are praying for twins (a boy and a girl, so it's fair).


Yes, we are thanking God for another gift and praying that this baby is okay.


Oh, and yes, all the kids are excited too.

been awhile...

Yes, it's been a long time since I posted. Blogging, for me, goes in spurts. I have times in my life where I'm on a roll and posting a lot and other times where I neglect this blog. There are seasons where I have to choose to either neglect my blog or neglect other things more important. Anyway, if anyone is still following along, here are some updated pictures of the kids.

Brooke is almost 9, Ashton is 7, Ava is 5 1/2, Kate is 5, and Gabe is 2. Not a day goes by where I don't thank God for these blessings in my life.

SAVE MONEY

Okay, my friend Amy has made a blog all about how to save money using coupons. I was skeptical because I've always used coupons and saved a dollar here or there, but it never really saved me that much. But the other day at Meijer, after using Amy's tips from her blog, I bought $74 worth of groceries for a total of $1.00 out of pocket. I spent $21 and have several print-out coupons ($20 worth of coupons that are good on my next order at Meijer). Crazy, huh? Let's just say that I'm stocked up on snacks, tomato soup, granola bars, and cereal for a long time! And for $1 out of pocket! If you want to save big money and also enter her giveaway for a Walmart gift card (giveaway ends today), then go here and start doing everything she says (trust me, you won't be sorry).

The Race

I think it's funny when, at the end of the race, the kids all say, "Gabe lost!" Gabe looks like he could care less!
